Hey, I’m really glad you’re here.

My name’s Finn Wesley, and this blog wasn’t built in a vacuum, it came out of a life that changed completely in an instant.

Before everything shifted, I was all about hands-on work. I spent my days in water mitigation and mold remediation.

Ripping out flooring, hauling gear, and getting my hands dirty.

It was tough work, but it made sense to me. I liked building things. Fixing what was broken. Being useful.

Then one day on the job site, I felt a sharp pain in my head.

I figured it was the heat, over 90 degrees and no airflow. I stepped outside, then came back in and said something didn’t feel right. I don’t remember much after that.

What hit me wasn’t heatstroke, it was a brain stem stroke caused by a ruptured AVM.

I woke up in a hospital unable to move, talk, or even see clearly. Just like that, everything about how I lived, worked, and moved had to change.

My right side no longer cooperates, and I now use a wheelchair full time.

That was 2020. Since then, I’ve had to learn a whole new way to live, and move.

I no longer swing hammers for a living. But I still build. I still problem-solve.

And now, I use everything I’ve learned, before and after my injury, to help others make their homes and apartments work better for how they move, live, and thrive.

This blog is full of real-life accessibility tips, home modifications, and confidence boosters for people who live with mobility challenges, especially if you’re doing it on your own, on a budget, or with one strong side like me.

I don’t believe in overcomplicating things. I believe in usable upgrades, practical fixes, and spaces that actually support your life, not slow it down.

If you’ve ever felt like your home was working against you, you’re in the right place.

This blog is proof that no matter what life throws at you, you can take back control—one smart, doable fix at a time.

Let’s get into it.
